PLAY

PLAY is a sound experience that guides the spectator through the process of becoming an actor. This performance was created based on the research project “Open windows: the construction of an actors identity” made by Isabel Toledo throughout 2014: each month she practiced a different training method designed by directors, actors and theatre teachers. The objective was to answer the question: What training do recent graduate actors need to continue their development? PLAY is the stagingof her conclusions.

The action takes place in a prefabricated box prepared with a series of objects: chairs, a television, costumes, papers, personal notebooks and photographs of Isabel and even wine. The audience, guided by the instructions on the audio, will execute them while interacting with each other, thus creating the play among themselves.
